Renting an allotment in Slough
Renting an allotment plot is a great way to access a piece of land to grow your own fruit, vegetables and flowers.
Having an allotment plot can help you to:
- develop a healthier lifestyle
- save money on food
- spend time outdoors
- meet people in your local community.

Allotment plot availability and applications
Our allotment plots are provided solely for the use of residents who live in the Borough of Slough. We currently manage over 980 affordable plots across 12 allotment sites. Due to high demand, we have unfortunately had to temporarily close the waiting list until further notice.
This decision is reviewed regularly and applications will reopen as soon as plots become available. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Fees and tenancy agreements
The cost of renting an allotment plot depends on:
- the site
- the size of the plot.
Concessions are available for tenants who receive Pension Credit.
Tenancy agreement
All of our allotment plots are rented subject to a Tenancy Agreement. Please select the link below to view a sample Tenancy Agreement.
Ending your allotment plot tenancy
If you wish to end your allotment tenancy, you can complete an allotment termination form and return it with all site keys. Alternatively, please contact the Allotments Officer by emailing allotments@slough.gov.uk.
