Allotments

Renting an allotment plot is a way of accessing land to grow your own fruit, flowers and vegetables. It is also a great way of improving a healthier lifestyle, saving money and getting involved with your local community.

Slough has more than 916 plots on 13 allotment sites throughout the borough, with economically priced plots available to all borough residents.

Fees

Rent fees for an allotment will vary according to the site and size of the plot. Concessions are available for people who are registered unemployed or who are aged 60 or over.

For more information on renting an allotment plot you can email allotments@slough.gov.uk.

How to apply

Please complete the request an allotment form.

On offer of an allotment, you will be required to provide proof of residency, evidence of your concessionary status if applicable and sign a tenancy agreement.

Events

The Slough Allotment Competition is an annual event that takes place over the summer months, which recognises the hard work and dedication, plot holders put into their allotments. The plots are judged in various categories; the awards and prizes are presented to the winning plot holders at the Annual General Meeting of the Slough Allotment Federation, usually held in November.
