Breathe Easy Slough: Community Stop Smoking Grant Scheme

We invite voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations to apply for the Breathe Easy Slough: Community Stop Smoking Grant Scheme.

The scheme supports community-led work to reduce smoking rates and tackle health inequalities across Slough.

About the grant

Smoking is the leading preventable cause of illness and death in the UK. Some communities in Slough are affected more than others.

This grant offers funding to support community-led initiatives that:

  • increase engagement with Healthier Slough’s local stop smoking service
  • provide peer support and assistance to access Healthier Slough's local stop smoking service
  • deliver culturally relevant outreach and events to raise awareness
  • strengthen referral pathways to Healthier Slough’s stop smoking service.

Funding available

  • Grants from £500 to £5,000, up to £10,000 in exceptional cases
  • Projects can run for up to 12 months
  • All activity must take place within the Slough Borough Council area.

Who can apply

Applications are open to VCSE organisations, faith groups, and social enterprises that work and engage with communities most affected by smoking, including people with mental health conditions, routine and manual workers, minority ethnic communities, and other priority groups.

Application deadline

  • 30 January 2026
  • decisions will be shared by 6 February 2026.

Please note: applications may close early if funding is fully allocated.
