NHS or private care suspected abuse of neglect
Health services and care providers must have their own procedures for dealing with allegations of abuse. This includes:
- care homes
- domiciliary care agencies
- organisations who provide supported living
- Primary, Acute and Mental Health Trusts
These should be compatible with the inter-agency policy and procedures. Each agency should have a designated post holder who determines whether a safeguarding referral to Adult Social Care is necessary.
