Safe Places in Slough video
Transcript
This video is brought to you by the Slough community safety team.
Amina is walking to the shops. She takes the same route every Wednesday morning on her own. One Wednesday, she spots a person has been following her for a while and she feels unsafe. Amina walks faster as she is feeling worried so the person walks faster too.
Amina is aware that her local shop is a member of the safe places scheme and the sticker in the window means that she can ask the nearest member of staff for help. She goes in and explains that she thinks she is being followed and feels unsafe. John reassures Amina and phones the local policing team.
If you ever feel vulnerable when you're out and about in the community, you can approach a safe place and someone will be able to support you.
