This autumn we have some amazing shows and events on offer linking into Black History Month including:
For adults and young people at The Curve
- National Poetry Day - 4 October 6.30pm
Empoword returns for its 3rd year celebrating National Poetry Day with us, but this time with a Black History theme - FREE
- For A Black Girl - 16 October 7.30pm
Despite what people think - racism and sexism do exist! Explore what it means for one girl - Tickets £12 each or £40 or a group of 4!
- WOKE - 20 October 7pm
Ashow about civil rights and the African American experience - Tickets £12 each or £40 for a group of 4
- Animate Black History 23 & 25 October at all our libraries
Anansi and Africa themed sessions with local author and artist Shannel Joseph of Animation Expressions
- Storytelling and Drama workshops with Freshwater Theatre 23 & 26 October at all our libraries
Themed around Caribbean & African stories
Plus look out for some special film screenings and craft sessions.

Slough Pantomime returns - Beauty and the Beast
Be our Guest and join us from Saturday 15th December 2018 until Monday 24th December 2018 at The Curve, Slough as we travel on a magical pantomime journey of love & friendship. The battle is on for strong minded Beauty and loveable Dame Nellie, as they attempt to reverse the Evil Enchantress’ spell.
This high energy, traditional panto is packed with belly laughing jokes, well-known hit pop songs, slapstick comedy and plenty of audience participation!
